Recruiting, Retaining and Valuing Volunteers

Reference: StepIntoSport

Volunteer coordinators and club managers can learn how to recruit more volunteers and how to motivate, reward and manage them more effectively, making them an invaluable part of the club for years to come.

Participants will be able to:

- Recognise the importance of volunteers
- Effectively plan volunteer recruitment, retention, reward and recognition
- Identify what their club should do to work with young volunteers, and the type of roles they can undertake
- Help build a network of support for volunteers in their club

- Use new ideas to gain buy-in from the club’s committee to ongoing volunteer development.

Always remembering that volunteers are the life blood of your clubs will help you to secure their future. This will also include detail on how to get involved with the Step Into Sport Programme and linking with Volunteer centres locally.
